A Hero Assists a Child
by Kevin Caruso
By ALL accounts the vast majority of New Orleans Police Officers, New Orleans Firefighters, National Guard members, and U.S. Military personnel are doing a GREAT job in New Orleans.
And the emergency workers and volunteers in ALL other areas affected by Hurricane Katrina are also doing a GREAT job.
They are all heroes.
And we salute all of them for the outstanding, courageous, heroic work that they are doing under the most difficult circumstances imaginable.
They have saved innumerable lives.
And we are all extremely proud of the work that you are doing.
To all the hero New Orleans Police Officers:
You are America’s finest. In spite of the fact that most of you were affected in many ways by Hurricane Katrina, the vast majority of you did all that you could to protect and serve the residents of New Orleans…even though there was massive flooding, no electricity, no running water, extensive destruction, looting, gun fights, roaming gangs of criminals, and near anarchy, you performed your duties heroically.
You are truly amazing.
You are heroes.
You are angels.
God bless each and every one of you.
The citizens of this country cannot thank you enough.
You are the best.
We love you.
To all the hero New Orleans Firefighters:
You are America’s finest. You could not operate your fire trucks because of the massive flooding. You had no water to put out fires. Yet you stayed in the city and fought fires valiantly with anything available. And you helped the residents of the city in every way possible. You coped with near impossible conditions and performed your duties heroically.
You are heroes.
You are angels.
God bless each and every one of you.
The citizens of this country cannot thank you enough.
You are the best.
We love you.
To the hero National Guard members:
You are America’s finest. You have responded to the call of duty and have saved lives.
You have been placed in extremely dangerous situations and have performed your duties heroically. You have rescued people. You have done your best to maintain order in a city where almost no order existed.
The pressures placed upon you have been great, yet you have again showed the world that you are the best at what you do.
You are heroes.
You are angels.
God bless each and every one of you.
The citizens of this country cannot thank you enough.
You are the best.
We love you.
To the hero U.S. Military personnel:
You are America’s finest. When you showed up, America breathed a sigh of relief: “Our military heroes have arrived, Thank God.”
When you are on the scene, we know that the very finest, best trained, best equipped, most professional, most intelligent, and best prepared military personnel in the world are ready for action.
The red, white, and blue ALWAYS waves proudly when you show up.
America has such great pride in you.
You have responded quickly when called to duty, and have done everything possible to help the residents of New Orleans.
You have again showed the world that you are the best at what you do.
You are heroes.
You are angels.
God bless each and every one of you.
The citizens of this country cannot thank you enough.
You are the best.
We love you.
